Yes. Under German law (§ 766 BGB) a guarantee declaration needs written form outside commercial transactions, and the electronic form is expressly excluded. Not even a qualified electronic signature (QES) is enough: the guarantor has to sign by hand on paper. canusign is not suitable for this.
